Texas Speaker of the House and State Representative for Dist. 21, Dade Phelan, and the Chief Director of District Operations, Zach Johnson, paid a visit to our offices today.  Officials from JEDCO, the City of Jasper, and the Jasper – Lake Sam Rayburn Chamber of Commerce were on hand discuss the future of our district as well his perspective on the state as a whole from his post as Speaker.

The 2020 US Census revealed changes in population in our area requiring the adjustment to State Legislature Districts.  In that re-redistricting, Jasper County joined Orange County, and a portion of Jefferson County in District 21 that Speaker Phelan represents,
