State-Recognized Schools
Jasper Independent School District’s primary and secondary schools are here to ensure your employees’ families will have a top-notch education in Jasper. The district uses the Capturing Kids’ Hearts program to teach the importance of building relationships allowing the creation of leaders and character education. JISD is home to an AVID Certified Campus at Jasper Jr. High and Jasper High School.
There are a variety of Career and Technology Education programs to cater to our students’ diverse interests.
Jasper Higher Education & Technology Center
Jasper Higher Education & Technology Center is helping provide a gateway to higher education for our students and citizens of Jasper by providing dual credit classes through DETCCA (Deep East Texas College & Career Academy) to Jasper ISD, Burkeville ISD, Spurger ISD, Newton ISD, Woodville ISD, and Kirbyville CISD. Students can complete academic classes as well as vocational certifications while in high school or upon graduation. They can complete basic core classes – the Core 42 – transferable to all Colleges and Universities, complete industry – based certifications for welding, nursing, and cybertechnology, or even complete an Associate’s Degree. These classes are offered through Stephen F. Austin State University and Lamar Institute of Technology at the Center in Jasper.
In addition to its roster of job skills programs, The Center can offer customized workforce training programs to match the needs of local businesses and prepare individuals for companies locating to the Jasper area.

Associate’s Degree
Jasper Higher Education & Technology Center enables students to earn associate degrees in their community.
Welding
The center has a technology building which houses a welding lab and offers other career and technology courses.
Nursing
The Jasper Center also offers a Vocational Nursing Certification. The clinical portion is completed in the local health care facilities.
Certifications / Continuing Education
Community Services courses, providing classes for numerous state and national certifications and for various skills enhancements are scheduled throughout the year.
